This funky bar design is situated next to a Tennis Court and the brief was to design a fun party space for relaxing during the day time and partying on a night time.
The bar is brought to life with details such as the backlit shelving and colour changing LEDs which wash light down the far wall. A bespoke panel of felt artwork provides a subtle focal point, an interesting textured surface to interact with the lighting, and acoustic softening to counterbalance the practical but hard bar surfaces. Contemporary low glare pendants with a smoked mirrored finish reflect the colour of the LEDs from the end of the room bringing accent colour into the main bar area and comfy bar stools complete the contemporary look.
A seriously comfortable sofa has been designed specially to fit into the remaining floor area. Maximising the number of seating around the outside of the room was key to the bar design with a focus on ensuring that the hub of the room remained the central bar area. Lively tactile fabrics on the sofa were introduced to the scheme and used as the base for a brief to an artist who produced the silk screen paintings which cover the speakers. Space limitations dictated that the TV and speakers had to go over the sofa ensuring that the TV could be enjoyed whilst sitting or serving behind the bar area.
