The much anticipated ArtCoustic Superstar is on its way. This active, stereo point source product created a great deal of interest and excitement at 100% Design in September, and is now available to order. The first shipment will be ready in early December, in time for pre Christmas projects.
Compatible with any source, the Superstar is the perfect partner for iPod, Sonos, Squeezebox, Bose, B&O, Airport Express as well as zones from multiroom systems such as AMX, Speakercraft or Digi LinX, zones from Onkyo amps etc.
Naturally for an Artcoustic product, the screen is interchangeable enabling the music system to work aesthetically with any interior. It is perfect for so many applications, where typically cheap, anonymous, underwhelming in ceiling speakers have been installed. Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, gyms, study, dining rooms, as well as commercial applications such as cafs, bars, restaurants, office, hotel rooms, spas etc
The Superstar features the same components found in the rest of the Artcoustic range, including a 10" bass unit to really let the system play deep. |

Speakercraft has been iPod aware for some time. The iPhone docking station has made it possible to access and control an iPod's content via MODE Keypads since 2007.
Now it's possible to control a Speakercraft MZC66 from an iPhone or iPod Touch over WiFi. Speakercraft have developed a custom web server to allow control of the system via the Safari browser built into the iPod Touch and iPhone. This offers some advantages over a native application written for the iPhone or iPod Touch but there are some watchouts to be aware of. we've had one on test since CEDIA and we've posted our initial thoughts here. |

Reference In-Ceiling Aim-Able & Frameless Speaker Speakercraft has answered your call for a less visible in-ceiling and in-wall speaker with the NEAT! design. The new NEAT! series of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers has no external flange or frame, meaning that the grille material covering the baffle and drivers leaves no additional edge between the speaker and the wall or ceiling surface. Best of all, SpeakerCraft has managed to incorporate its award-winning pivoting AIM technology into all models. Each model incorporates a sophisticated new construction bracket that with care allows the speaker to be mounted precisely into the ceiling or wall with only the smallest of gap visible between grille and the surrounding surface.
To ensure the highest level of sound quality all NEAT! in-ceiling models are based on the highly regarded AIM8 and AIM7 series models. |

Motorised In-Ceiling Speaker. Descends Down - 15° To 45°. Rotates 270°. The celebrated Aim in-ceiling speaker range established new standards for both sound quality and versatility. Within each Aim Series model, both the bass unit and tweeter could be independently pivoted by up to 30°, creating a soundstage of incredible focus and precision. Similar in principle to Aim, the new TIME (Theatre In Motion Experience) series mounts flush with the ceiling. When activated however, the speakers automatically extend from the ceiling at angles 15, 30 and 45 degrees. They then rotate to any position to create the appropriate soundstage for the individual theatre application. Sonic performance is enhanced by the precision with which the speaker can be aimed at the listening area. |
