This makes the iDyl a great hub for home entertainment as well as a superb centrepiece media server for a home cinema.

The iDyl's capability is developing all the time. New DVD management capability now allows you to browse by Genre, Actor or Director. Parental control allows you to block content that might be unsuitable for younger members of the family. New multiroom audio integration allows an iDyl to sit at the heart of a Speakercraft system with full browsing from a MODE keypad. A recent refinement has been to add browsing via the Philips TSU9600.

With an intuitive interface where you can browse your DVD collection by cover art. The iDyl can browse media on the network so adding capacity as your DVD collection grows is as simple as adding Network Attached Storage (NAS). There are some real benefits from deploying NAS - using models like the latest Netgear rack mounted NAS means your precious DVD collection is stored on more secure RAID disk arrays.
