DENVER – Sept. 6, 2007 – Today, AMX® launched its newest family of multi-room distributed audio products – Tango™ Distributed Audio. The Tango product line, which includes audio controllers, zone expanders and amplifiers, is the perfect integrated solution for homes, condominiums, doctors offices, salons and restaurants requiring brilliant, high-quality, multi-zone, multi-source audio. AMX is showcasing its family of Tango Distributed Audio products in AMX booth 501 at CEDIA Expo, being held in Denver Sept. 6 – 9. One Tango Distributed Audio System accommodates eight sources with distribution to four or eight zones; however, the system can be easily expanded for larger homes and businesses. Using Tango Zone Expanders and Amplifiers, the system can support as many as 64 zones with up to 24 speakers per zone.
Its sleek, sophisticated styling enables the system to be displayed along with source equipment – such as a CD player, iPod docking station and/or AM/FM receiver – on a shelf, or in a cabinet or rack. The audio system can be controlled with AMX's new Metreau Audio Keypads, which are available in two configurations – six-source with navigation and numeric – or an AMX Mio Modero® R-1 Audio Remote. The Tango line can be combined with the new AMX NI-3101 Signature Series NetLinx® Integrated Controller (NI-3101-SIG) when distributed audio is desired along with an integrated solution for controlling and automating lights, audio/video equipment, heating and air conditioning, security and more. The NI-3101-SG reflects the same styling as, and is specifically designed to be installed above, the Tango Controller. If the NI-3101-SIG does not meet the control requirements of the installation, however, the Tango Distributed Audio System can be paired with any AMX NetLinx Controller.
